Excellent! You speak the truth on all counts. I have seen or heard these misinterpretations so often for so many years. It is not new. It started happening when I was a teenager in the church in the 1960s and 70s. It all sounds good and makes you more acceptable to the culture. But these words are spoken like you say by wolves.
Trust, but verify. Pray for all Christian authorities that they live out their calling in good faith.
