Personally, I had left my parents' home when my teenage hormone hit at 13 years old, checked myself into a boarding school for the next 6 years. Then, left the Nation. Ha.
My parents were perfectly nice people, but I always followed my hormone.
So, parents, your teenagers do not hate you, they are just driven by their biological clock, like all mammals, animals, even fruits fall off from the parent trees.
I had tried to keep in mind that my children will be trying to survive on their own in their future.
We, parents are just their "trainers" for 18 years, in their possible 80+++ years of lives.
